Iran vows a direct attack on Israel following an assassination of a high-ranking Hamas member on Iranian territory. While we do not expect major nuclear powers to become directly involved, we are continuing to monitor the situation given Israel’s nuclear arsenal. We do not believe that Israel would use nuclear weapons in response to an Iranian attack.
Images captured from space show the growth of Cuba’s electronic eavesdropping stations that are believed to be linked to China. China joins Belarus for wargames in Europe. China has suspended arms control and nuclear non-proliferation negotiations with the United States over Washington’s weapons deals with Taiwan.
Iran has elected a new president who has promised to reach out to the West but reiterates its intention to destroy Israel. Recent satellite imagery has shown major expansions at two key Iranian ballistic missile facilities.
The United States is to deploy a new ground-based jammer designed to blunt Chinese or Russian satellites. The U.S. has agreed to arm dozens of F-16 fighter jets being sent to Ukraine with American-made missiles.
