DEFCON Warning System – Update 11/1/21

This is the DEFCON Warning System. Alert status for 2 P.M., Monday, November 1st, 2021. Condition code is Green. DEFCON 5.

There are currently no imminent nuclear threats at this time.

There are indications of fission reactions at Chernobyl in Ukraine, concerning scientists that there could be self-sustaining fission and a possible nuclear accident.  It should be noted that there are several years still before any possible incident could occur.

Some have raised concern over irregular Russian troop movements near the Ukraine border.  Additionally, Russia has successfully test launched a Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missile from a submarine for the first time.  Further, Russia has suspended its mission at NATO and has ordered the closure of the alliance’s office in Moscow in retaliation for NATO’s expulsion of Russian diplomats.  Russia and China warships have also held hold the first joint patrols in the Pacific.

The communications hotline between North and South Korea have been reopened.

China has launched a new satellite that analysts say can be used as a weapon capable of grabbing and crushing American satellites.  Meanwhile, The National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence warned that the United States was not prepared to defend the United States in the coming artificial intelligence era.  Additionally, the United States has said that it would come to Taiwan’s defense if it was attacked by China.

Inside reports indicate that Israel is preparing for Iran to become a nuclear power.   Meanwhile, Iran has agreed to restart nuclear deal talks.
