Displays current alert status on your desktop. Updates every 10 minuets. Sounds an alert tone, and generates a pop-up when the alert level is upgraded. All options can be disabled in the menu. Works on Windows Vista and higher. Might work on XP. The DEFCON Warning System Desktop App is the First to be updated when the alert condition is changed. If you want the quickest notification when the Alert Condition changes, this is what you want.

DEFCON Warning System Android Widget

This widget will poll the server every 10 minutes and display the current alert code. If code is upgraded when widget is running, it will sound an alert. Widget uses very little bandwidth as it only downloads a single byte every 10 minutes, but there is overhead with that. Our estimate is that it will downlload less than 1K per hour if it is running constantly. Requires Android version 2.2 or better.

The DEFCON Warning System is a private enterprise which monitors world events and assesses nuclear threats against the United States by national entities. It is not affiliated with any government agency and does not represent the alert status of any military branch. The public should make their own evaluations and not rely on the DEFCON Warning System for any strategic planning. At all times, citizens are urged to learn what steps to take in the event of a nuclear attack.
